Can You Hear? (matrix reloaded)

The poor are the richest of all.
They have a special ability that no body else has; to feel.

Silent and without worry,
we eat.
Don’t you see?
With thanks and gratitude and hope for another day,
they taste.

Our ears are drawn to the friction and
troubles of this world.
We walk to the beat of our favorite song...
Clouding our imagination, we have no motivation.

Don’t you hear?
They listen to the rain on their skin.
Our eyes are focused and narrow.

They have a favorite song.
The solemn song of the red robin,
as the yellowish orange rises,
staggering over the horizon.

The gentle wind that blows through the trees
is the same as the brutal wind
that chills their bones.

Don’t you care?
They cry out,
unheard.
But we are
not deaf, not blind.

Don’t you see?
They have a favorite picture.
Blue fading to purple,
mixed with red.

You really have such a good heart, JT, caring about those in need.
